Beginner's nerves

Article Published By Joel Rodker on Jul 7 2017

Tomorrow I'm helping out on the Flowers from the Farm stall at Hampton court. I'm very excited about seeing the display which has had lots of praise and meeting other British flower growers. I'm also nervous as I'm not an experienced grower and I don't want to disappoint people by not being able to answer their questions. This year I've grown more passionate about British flowers and I want people to share that passion.

I grow flowers on my allotment and this year I've set aside a 1.5 x 5 metre bed for flowers which is totally full so I'm now filling up the bed that the garlic occupied. I'm excited about the Dahlias I've planted as its the first time I've grown Dahlias. I love flower arranging and its given me a lot of pleasure to pick my own flowers and have them in my home. I'm enjoying growing some new flower varieties and getting excited about growing on a bigger scale next year.
