We've been waiting with bated breath for months, but the week which heralds our celebration of British Flower Growing, The Flower Farmers' Big Weekend, is finally upon us!

We hope that you'll join us in enjoying our members' videos of plot tours, top tips, flower growing questions and flower farming stories and that by the end of the weekend, you'll understand the huge variety of plots and places that Flowers from the Farm embraces.  It will be great  to take a virtual nosy at everyone's  plots without having to leave the comfort of our armchairs, but we're still waiting hopefully for the invention of Smellivision so that we can find a way to virtually share the scents of these glorious blooms too.

We've got a great programme of videos scheduled for the weekend itself (Friday 14th - Sunday 16th August) and starting today,  you can also take impromptu tours via members' videos on our Flowers from the Farm facebook page, and keep up to date by following @flowersfromthefarm on Instagram where the account is hosted by a different member every week.

If you scoot on over to our Instagram account quickly you can hear from Flowers from the Farm founder Gill Hodgson, our host last week, who has a hundred entertaining tales to tell about setting up the organisation from her kitchen table in Yorkshire and how our members' enthusaism has morphed it  into the 800+ membership network it is today.  A really great way to lead us into our Big Week.

Gill's a firm believer in getting in whatever help she can.

We'll be popping members' videos onto our Facebook page throughout the week.

We've got backyard plots, farms, women dancing in their sheds  and even a nuclear bunker to reveal.

    Enjoy the week!
