Eco Printing Workshop

Join Rainy Williamson of Cherry Tree Flower Farm for this workshop which will give you a hands on introduction to the beautiful & sustainable craft of eco printing – creating marks on fabric with plant materials.

Rainy has 10 years experience dyeing and hand spinning wool from her own sheep.

After a brief introduction we will head out onto the flower field to collect a variety of flowers and materials to use as our dyestuff, as well as blooms to arrange. We’ll then get hands on making eco prints on silk ribbons.

All materials required will be supplied and you will take home samples of eco printed pure silk ribbons.

Towards the end of the workshop, you will create a simple hand tied posy from the blooms that you cut earlier, with the option to use one of your hand dyed ribbons to decorate it.

Hot / cold drinks and homemade cake are included.
