Learn about growing cut flowers through the seasons – visit two Hertfordshire Flower Farms, sow, arrange and learn about how to grow a year of sustainable cut flowers – for pleasure or business.
Join Alison Down (@_bohoflowers) and Barbara Lohoar (@ashwellflowers) for a full day’s workshop!
Visit both of our farms, learn about growing, cutting and conditioning flowers, be guided in some sowing and finish by making a unique seasonal creation – we call ‘The Boho Meadow’ – using some of the flowers you have just sown.
This is both a practical and creative workshop where you’ll learn through the eyes of both a new and more experienced grower.
We’ll start at Ashwell Flower Farm experiencing the growing plot and then sow some seasonal blooms to take home.
We’ll then travels to Boho Flowers were you’ll be guided in creating a beautiful seasonal ‘Boho Meadow’ while continuing to learn about growing and looking after cut flowers.
Return home with new skills, your planted seeds and a unique creation to inspire you in your next sowing and growing ventures.
