Introduction to growing cut flowers day

Join Jo from Wye Valley Flowers and Rozanne from The Ledbury Flower Farmer for a day of floral inspiration and information.

We’ll cover planning where to site you plot, planting schemes, share our favourite seed suppliers, discuss essential equipment, pros and cons of green houses and poly tunnels, no dig methods, seed harvesting and propagation.
The afternoon will focus on growing the key ingredients to make stunning arrangements and there will be a gift bouquet demonstration.

You will go home with lists of favourite growing books, floral podcasts and trusted industry suppliers.

The course is set on Wye Valleys 1/2 acre plot on their 13 acre farm in the Forest of Dean. There is a poly tunnel, 30 raised beds and several perennial borders with a pyo field.

Let us know if you need accommodation as there are lots of options in the local area. The day includes refreshments and a locally sourced lunch.
