About

Hello, I’m Gill and I run Applehouse Flowers in Jedburgh in the Scottish Borders. Applehouse Flowers began in 2021 in what was a completely overgrown walled garden. Returning the garden to a productive and beautiful space has been (and still is!) very hard work but now it is filling steadily with cut flower beds full of bulbs, annuals, perennials, roses, climbers and shrubs and is blooming once more. I supply direct to the public, florists and local retail outlets, offering bouquets, arrangements, wreaths and also foliage/flower buckets for DIY arranging. The vast majority of flowers I use are grown in the garden and occasionally supported by flowers from a network of British suppliers - local and independent if at all possible. A subscription service is available for those who like to enjoy seasonal flowers on a regular basis. My design approach is natural and abundant with carefully chosen palettes reflecting the hues of the season and celebrating the gorgeousness British grown flowers. I am passionate about growing sustainably and being part of the British flower movement, cutting out air and reducing road miles. All my blooms are grown without the use of chemicals and only natural fertilisers. I don’t use cellophane, florists foam or any single use plastic. Deliveries are made on Fridays within a 10 mile radius of TD8. Beyond this there will be a delivery charge. It is also possible to collect from the garden.
