Country Blooms

About My Business

I live just south of Canterbury in the beautiful Kent countryside. I am a gardener, flower grower and florist and started my business 7 years ago, following growing the flowers for my daughter's wedding. I loved it so much that most of my garden is now given over to British seasonal flowers. I grow lots of different varieties including sweet peas, larkspur, ammi, cornflowers, antirhinum, salvias, grasses, dahlias galore and many more.

Whilst specialising in weddings I also make hand-tied bouquets and arrangements for all occasions and events. My style is very natural - just picked, natural, free and vintage is how I'd describe it. I will normally include lots of different flowers and textures in bouquets and arrangements but will make them to include whatever style customers require. I also love to work with brides to grow specific flowers for their special day.
My flowers are grown as organically as possible using spread manure in the autumn and comfrey liquid in the summer. Anyone is welcome to come and see me and the flowers!

I'm very happy to plan with brides in order to sow and grow what is wanted for their special day. I am really flexible and can provide anything from a full floral service to DIY buckets and everything in-between.

I also have many crystal vases of varying sizes and 120 vintage tea cups, saucers and plates available to hire to complete your vintage/country look.
