Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and Peer-to-Peer Learning

The Flowers from the Farm Members’ Peer-to-Peer CPD Programme has been designed with the collaborative spirit of FftF in mind, and with a view to increase the capacity and professionalism of our members, and in turn to strengthen the sector as a whole.

Flowers from the Farm believes that, as with all professions, success is built on a foundation of learning, and Continued Professional Development (CPD) is an integral part of this.

What makes FftF truly unique is the breadth and depth of knowledge among our members; experienced growers and horticulturalists, farmers of different crops on different landscapes, and many have entered our sector as a second career. Among us we have former lawyers, accountants, carbon specialists, marketeers and professionals from many different sectors. All with the shared goal of wanting to see our sector thrive.

The Peer-to-Peer CPD Programme leverages this wealth of knowledge, as well as drawing on external expertise where relevant, to offer all members access to online, low cost training on the following subject areas:

1.    Growing

2.    Business 101, marketing and pricing

3.    Sustainability

4.    Floristry

Access to webinars is based on a crowdfunding ethos to keep individual delegate charges low.
