About Flowers from the Farm

The not-for-profit voice of British flower growers

Flowers from the Farm is a community of over 1,000 growers of seasonal, scented, sustainable British flowers. We champion a fresher, greener alternative to imported blooms and help flower-lovers find their nearest grower.

How we Grow

Planning, polyculture, patience

Planning

We plan our crops a full year ahead. Seeds sown in summer for spring bulbs, autumn sowings for next year’s biennials, and a succession of direct sowings that carries the season through.

Polyculture

Mixed planting means fewer pests, healthier soil and a longer season. It’s the opposite of a monoculture field and closer to the way a cottage garden works.

Sustainability

No airmiles, no cellophane, no floral foam. Compost from our own beds, water from the roof, and flowers cut at dawn and delivered by hand.

Fresher. Seasonal. British.
