Flower Pressing Workshop

Come and spend an evening in calm creativity, learning the tips and techniques of the traditional craft of flower pressing.
After a warm welcome we will take a walk around the flower field, learning which flowers are suitable for pressing and at what stage of growth. You’ll then wander the flower field gathering your own little posy of blooms, leaves and seed heads to press.
Back in the workshop you can relax with a drink a slice of cake while Rainy demonstrates a variety of traditional flower pressing techniques and showing examples of how the pressed flowers can be used.
Using your posy you’ll get hands on, carefully preparing each stem for pressing in the large traditional flower press [24cm x 19cm worth £20] which is yours to keep and take home with you.
As we will be walking around the flower field, please wear sensible shoes and clothes suited to the weather. In the event of rain, flowers will be gathered ready for you to use.
