Catkin flowers was launched in 2006 by Dr Rachel Petheram. An ardent champion of British grown flowers, Rachel was at the forefront of the revival of the movement and grows many of her own in the stunning walled kitchen garden of Doddington Hall in Lincolnshire. A deep connection to the garden and its plants is fundamental to Rachels approach to floristry and teaching. Rachel uses her extensive experience to run many courses at Doddington Hall, RHS Harlow Carr, and on-line with 'Learning with Experts' So many of Rachel’s workshops and courses tap into something more profound than simply growing or arranging flowers. An intuitive and sensitive teacher with a relaxed down to earth approach, she has the knack of instantly putting her students at ease and creating beautiful personal transformation via the medium of floral play and creativity. She is a very experienced wedding florist and every one is a unique reflection of the cutting garden and the time of year, created to make the most of the natural beauty of the seasonal flowers chosen.
