In the hamlet of Cherry Tree, on the edge of Ainsworth village, I use organic and regenerative principles to grow numerous varieties of willow and beautiful, fragrant country garden style cut flowers. Working as sustainably as possible, the willow, flowers and soil are nourished without chemicals (the hens make their contributions] to maximise the benefits for the bees and other insects. The cut flowers are available from early summer to early autumn. Every flower I sell grows here on the smallholding. Christmas sees wreaths, garlands and table decorations available with festive sessions for you to create your own too. The winter months have willow as their focus with harvesting, planting and workshops making use of both dried and living willow varieties. As a qualified teacher with over 30 years’ experience, I also host seasonal workshops here, using the flowers, foliage, and willow that I grow, to offer a variety of sustainable craft experiences. Hand made British willow products are available on a wholesale basis to independent UK businesses.
