My name is Fiona Porter and I have been a flower farmer and florist since 2017. I run my business from my Cotswold cottage garden, situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the edge of the Cotswolds near Stroud in Gloucestershire. My flowers are generally cottage garden favourites bursting with colour. I cut and use as many of my homegrown flowers as possible , however, I do top up from other local or national growers where necessary, particularly at the beginning and end of the season. All my flowers and foliage are British grown which means my operating season is roughly from April to October. In season, I supply flowers and floristry for country weddings, funerals, floristry workshops and gardening workshops (run from my home). I also take orders for special occasion bouquets of flowers, buckets of flowers and monthly subscription flowers which I deliver locally. My dried flowers can be purchased and posted nationally from my website. Note that I use foam free techniques and no cellophane in my floristry. I generally operate in the Stroud, Dursley, Berkeley, Gloucester, Tetbury areas for bouquet and funeral flower deliveries and Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds for weddings. Almost all my annuals are grown outside by me from seed, and are nurtured without pesticides or herbicides and with very little watering. I am lucky to be surrounded by an extensive farm where hedges and grassland are not heavily grazed. Birds, hedgehogs, toads, ladybirds and other insects love the garden. It makes for a lovely visit on one of my open garden tours. Note that I generally need 24 hours notice on bouquet orders which can either be collected or delivered.
