Dorothy Seed has opened its doors in March 2022 at Newport Market, Newport, South Wales. It has been set up by me (Dorina) and my partner Rupert with the intention to bring our sustainable approach to the area. From the beginning we had a clear idea how we are going to achieve that. We source locally grown and British cut flowers when they are available. We use natural dried flowers, celebrating all life cycles of nature. We avoid the use of any kind of floral foam and single used plastic, our floral mechanics are reusable, compostable, or recyclable. Our packaging is simple and follows the same principles as our mechanics. As well as a retail florist, we offer floral design to weddings, green funerals and corporate events. Our style is natural, we work with what the season provides as much as it is possible and consider our environmental and social impact of every step we take.
