Hullo I’m Gill Hodgson After some 16 years of growing and supplying flowers as a keen flower farmer here in the East Riding of Yorkshire, I'm now turning myself back into a simple gardener. Growing and selling flowers has taken me from a stall at my local farmers’ market to an MBE for services to floristry, via two Gold medals at RHS Chelsea Flower Show. I’ve been named Mentor of the Year at the Northern Power Women Awards and seen my own flowers in Westminster Abbey at the King’s coronation. 2021 saw me celebrating the 10th anniversary of Flowers From The Farm, the organisation I founded and whose great website you’re now exploring. It's given me wonderful times and made me some fabulous friends. If you're thinking of becoming a flower farmer - do it!
