Flowers By The Gate is a planet-friendly flower farm just outside Newark-on-Trent run by me, Janet. We grow, arrange, and sell all of our own flowers, specialising in gorgeous varieties you won’t find in the supermarket. We begin the season with Ranunculus, and end on a high with Dahlias and Chrysanthemums squeezing lots and lots in between! I love to experiment and can’t resist unusual or exciting blooms, — so you can always expect something a little bit different. 🌸 Blooms for homes, florists, and shops If you want to bring the outside in, you’re in the right place! Come to Flowers By The Gate for: - Personal bouquet orders For collection or local delivery in a range of sizes, we’ll arrange a beautiful bouquet, using freshly cut blooms from the farm. No bouquet is the same — they’re made just for you. - DIY Flower buckets For collection only, we’ll cut a selection of showstoppers, foliage, and fillers for you to arrange at home. - Wedding flowers We’d love to be part of your special day. Ask us to arrange your bouquets and buttonholes, or make some extra special memories by joining us on the farm to choose and arrange your own. We’ll give you lots of tips and help you along the way. - Seasonal experiences We’ve got lots of plans for workshops and events in 2022. Keep an eye on Instagram for updates! -Florists and businesses We also love working with local shops and florists. If you’d like to sell or display our local blooms in your shop or if you need a supply of gorgeous local varieties for your floristry, get in touch. I’d be happy to chat through what I’m growing and give you a quick tour. 🌏 Looking after the planet We are committed to not just our own flowers thriving but our planet too, so it’s peat-free compost all the way for us along with our own garden generated compost, plant food and other organic fertilisers. It’s a no to pesticides and yes to natural control methods when it comes to bugs and slugs. 🌻 Seasonal flowers We grow and cut all of our flowers ourselves. So, we work with the seasons, which means while our dried flower products are available all year round our fresh flowers are only available from April to September, depending on the weather — it could be earlier or later. You never know quite what you’re going to get. But we do know, there will always be flowers! 🐝 What’s next?
