About

I'm Frances, a flower grower florist based just outside Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria. I have a cutting garden supplying a variety of truly seasonal beautiful flowers and foliage. I also dry flowers for winter weddings, elopements and wreaths, and press flowers that I use in wedding stationery and workshops. My flowers are available for all occasions - locally delivered bouquets, weddings, parties, and farewell/funeral flowers. I offer a bespoke floristry service as well as curated buckets of flowers for DIY events and those who enjoy arranging their own flowers. I run flower subscriptions too. No two bouquets are ever the same! Sustainability, seasonality, diversity and being kind to the Earth are the heart of my values. I'm a member of the Sustainable Wedding Alliance. I don’t use toxic chemicals, peat or floral foam, and aim to grow lots and lots of different flowers and foliage in my cutting garden. This is really important to me, as we have wonderful wildlife here in Cumbria including red squirrels, hedgehogs and a varied population of birds. I deliver to Kirkby Stephen, villages surrounding Kirkby Stephen, throughout the Eden Valley, including Orton, Tebay as well as Wensleydale, and Hawes (into the edge of North Yorkshire/Richmondshire). Bouquets and flower subscriptions can be purchased via my website www.clodhopperblooms.co.uk or by calling/messaging me. I primarily use my own flowers, However, if I don't have enough of something, or the right colour, or need to extend the Cumbrian growing season, I do buy British grown flowers and foliage from other growers, often further south, for instance Cornwall and Lincolnshire If you would like to get in touch and talk flowers, you may message me on Instagram or Facebook, email frances@clodhopperblooms.co.uk or just give me a ring on 017683 30364.
