About

We are traditional market gardeners in Tarleton, Lancashire. We grow a range of food and flowers throughout the year, under cold glass and outside. Out main flower-crops for 2025 are stocks, sweet peas, strawflower (Helichrysum bracteatum) zinnia and chrysanthemum. We also have a collection of seasonal cottage garden favourites, florist staples and more unusual blooms available from late May until October. Looking ahead, we've just started to establish a perennial area, which includes a selection of roses; a collection of umbellifers and a perennial area under glass which includes passion flower, snail vine and papyrus. Our mission is to keep everything as local as we can and grow the business steered by what our local florists want, so we're always open to trying new things (like Snail Vine!) Outside, there's a range of woodland, scrub, ivy , honeysuckle and grasses. We are very much market gardeners: we're not florists and we're not specifically flower-growers (we also grow spring greens, tomatoes and lots of different bits and bobs and this year's selection includes water melon, sprouts, chard, water cress and several squashes all of which can be purchased when ready alongside your flowers!) Visitors are welcome by appointment. We don't send anything out by post, but we do deliver locally by arrangement and we can also pick to your requirements for collection, or arrange to meet and transfer if you are a bit further afield and can make it as far as the M6 / A6 / A59 / A49 in Lancashire.
