El and Sally started growing flowers in 2021, on a modest patch of wasteland in front of a compost loo. Both employed as vegetable growers at Sheffield Organic Growers, they were keen to try their hand at commercial flower growing on a larger scale. They expanded their flower growing area and began renting a corner of a beautiful field in the heart of the Moss Valley in 2022. Between them they harvest, arrange and deliver flowers to various shops and markets across Sheffield, as well as hosting regular Pick-Your-Own sessions (usually two-three times/week in high season). Existing veg box customers of Sheffield Organic Growers and Moss Valley Market Garden will be pleased to know they can also add a bunch of Over The Hedge flowers to their regular order and have them delivered to their doorstep. El and Sally also provide fresh and dried flowers for weddings and other events in and outside Sheffield (furthest afield so far is London). When the fresh blooms are over, they keep busy in the winter with their dried flower arrangements, including wreath making workshops. Please do get in touch if any of the above interests you!
