About

I’m an artisan flower grower. I started Pitt Cottage Flowers shortly after moving to Highclere, near Newbury in 2021. Having been a GP for 30 years, I decided that it was time to do something I’m passionate about. I have always interested in gardening and have excelled in growing flowers in particular. I offer beautiful flowers either as bouquets or buckets for your own creations. I also offer floral design, such as statement pieces or tablescapes for any occasions including weddings and sympathy flowers. I have a number of dedicated raised beds for cut flowers. These are naturally grown, seasonal flowers with minimal intervention. In recent years, it’s apparent the soil health is an integral part of successful growing (analogy of the microbiomes in human gut and overall health), hence I adopt minimal intervention approach and avoid any pesticides and chemicals. As well as growing flowers, I have acquired skills in floral design. I completed Philippa Craddock’s Floristry Fundamental Masterclass in 2020 and I’m currently an active member of Joseph Massie’s Flower Class. Both of these inspirational tutors advocate sustainable techniques, and their individual styles have hugely influence on my own. All my designs are floral foam-free and bouquets are free from plastic wrapping. My flowers can be purchased ad hoc or via a regular subscription. Please go to my website for previous designs and guided price. Feel free to contact me via the website or mobile to discuss any specific requirements. I’d love to hear from you.
