About My Business
A very warm welcome! My name is Annie Thompson and I am a grower of seasonal cut flowers from my garden here in the beautiful soft rolling hills of the Scottish Borders. The garden has evolved over the years since we moved here from Edinburgh in 2003. I started growing flowers for cutting and arranging in 2014. Our seasonal flowers, foliage and herbs are available from the end of April through to October, weather dependant. The flowers I grow lend themselves to a more informal "just picked from the garden" feel with unusual varieties not available from a traditional high street florist.
Are you planning your wedding and would like a more natural feel to your wedding flowers then why not come and have a wander around the garden and see for yourself. I am delighted to make an appointment for you to come and see what would be flowering at the time of year you are planning your wedding. We can chat about what will be in season and get a much better idea of the style you are looking for.
A popular option for brides is my "DIY Buckets of Blooms" to create your own beautiful and unique wedding flowers. This DIY option is great for creative people who want to try their hand at arranging their own flowers or for a talented family member to get involved in the big day.
Alternatively you can put together the flowers for the tables and we can provide bouquets and buttonholes. I know my flowers and I know exactly what and when to pick to get the most beautiful blooms, what has amazing scent and then put them together in a simple unstructured style that is unique to you, a one off!
I am honoured to be asked to arrange farewell flowers and would be happy to discuss your wishes to create a natural and sympathetic arrangement.
For florists interested in using seasonal, locally grown flowers for your customers, please get in touch with me and I can arrange for you to receive a regular wholesale availability list and let you know what is looking gorgeous and ready to pick. We supply wholesale flowers with no minimum order. Delivery options available on request.
If you are looking for a beautiful posy or hand tied bunch of flowers as a last minute gift please visit the flower stall outside our house in Skirling during the growing season or alternatively get in touch to organise a bouquet for local delivery or collection. I am not a regular high street florist and do not pick flowers and then wait for orders. I would need 24 hours notice in order to pick and condition the flowers before making them up for delivery.
