About

Hello! I’m Lucy I’m based in the lovely village of Lyminge, nestled between Canterbury, Folkestone, and Hythe in South East Kent. I’m passionate about growing and sharing seasonal, locally grown flowers; a mix of classic cut blooms and the charm of native wildflowers, all cultivated thoughtfully using the no-dig method and with thoughtful care for the land and local nature. My love for flowers began in childhood, spending hours outdoors barefoot in the garden, exploring the woods, making mud pies, and picking flowers. Those early days gave me a lifelong love of nature and gardening , my happy place, and now I want to share a piece of that joy with others. I aim to start trading in the the May flower season 2026, offering small, nature-friendly floral designs for small weddings, sustainable/wild funerals, alongside a seasonal bouquet club and workshops, all rooted in a love for flowers and the Kent Downs that surround my garden. While I’m not trading yet, I’ve spent 2025 preparing the ground, experimenting with flowers, and refining my vision. In the meantime, you can follow my journey on Instagram @ValleyDownBlooms whilst my website is getting designed.
