About

Hello, my name is Janice, and together with help from my family, I grow gloriously scented British flowers in my cutting garden on the outskirts of Leeds, West Yorkshire. The delight of sowing and nurturing seedlings has always fascinated me. Cultivating a wide variety of seasonal English country flowers: old-fashioned scented roses mingle with sweet peas, cornflowers, love-in-a-mist and Sweet William.  Colours range from pure white into delicate cream, pastel shades through to bright jewel colours. Fresh, perfumed flowers, with the addition of herbs to add a subtle fragrance, are perfect for relaxed wedding celebrations. I love to create natural, garden gathered bouquets for brides and bridesmaids as well as beautiful buttonholes for grooms.  It is always a pleasure and a privilege to be a part of your wedding day. Yorkshire Petals often supply buckets of mixed, seasonal flowers to brides who wish to arrange their own table centres. Everyone has fun creating unique and individual arrangements, making wedding memories to treasure. Sustainability is a key focus in our flower growing and floristry. Wherever possible using recyclable and biodegradable materials to ensure a low carbon footprint. Growing British flowers benefits our planet as they are not transported thousands of miles, so therefore are the freshest flowers available. Beginning our flowery journey in 2012 by growing flowers for sale at Farmers’ markets around Yorkshire, introduced local brides to British flowers. Meeting a wide cross section of the public and getting to know exactly which flowers were in demand, provided a valuable insight and has shaped the way that Yorkshire Petals operates today. Thank you to the people of Yorkshire, and beyond, for your interest and valuable support. Find Yorkshire Petals on Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook. I really look forward to hearing from you and discovering how I can help with your floral requirements. . .
