We were thrilled to be invited by the Royal Horticultural Society to create the RHS Flower School at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival featuring flower farmers, florists and our fabulous flowers.
Visitors joined our Flowers from the Farm ambassadors in the RHS Flower School at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival. They enjoyed free floral demonstrations by leading florists and hands-on workshops amongst the floral installations in the dedicated marquee.
A full program of free events throughout each day enjoyed by visitors included foam-free floral demonstrations by creative farmer-florists including Alice Antcliff from Meadowfolk, Jill Houston of Little Park Flowers, Katie Stone of Featherstone’s English Flower Company, Bex Partridge of Botanical Tales, Camila Klich and Marianne Mogendorff of Wolves Lane Flower Company and Paul and Helen Stickland of Black Shed Flower Farm.
The program included some of the country’s leading florists – Leigh Chappell, Simon Lycett, Shane Connolly, Rebel Rebel and Alice McCabe getting creative with the flowers and foliage from Flowers from the Farm members and explaining how British grown flowers inspire their designs.
Did you know that there are over 50 flower farmers growing within 30 miles of Hampton Court Palace? During the RHS show, a number of these growers will have provided more than 200 buckets of flowers, fresh and dried for decorations, demonstrations and creations by members of public in the RHS Flower School. Flowers from the Farm ambassadors will be ready to welcome members of the public, to assist with their creations and to talk to visitors about the busy life of a flower farmer growing, cutting and preparing blooms for an ever growing market of seasonal cut flowers.
